Description

Soft, fluffy homemade cinnamon rolls with a rich cinnamon-sugar filling and a creamy glaze. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or any special occasion!


Ingredients

  • 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) instant or active dry yeast
  • ¾ cup warm milk (110°F/45°C)
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg + 1 egg yolk
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ½ tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Make Dough – Dissolve yeast in warm milk. Mix with flour, sugar, salt, eggs, and butter. Knead, then let rise until doubled.

  2. Fill & Shape Rolls – Roll out dough, spread butter, add cinnamon-sugar, roll up, cut into 12 pieces.

  3. Second Rise & Bake – Let rolls rise, then bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes until golden.

  4. Glaze & Serve – Whisk glaze ingredients, drizzle over warm rolls, and enjoy!

 

Notes

  • For extra softness: Pour ½ cup warm heavy cream over the rolls before baking.
  • Storage: Keep at room temperature for 2 days, refrigerate for 5 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
  • Reheating: Warm in the oven at 300°F for 10 minutes or microwave for 20 seconds with a damp paper towel.
